As per UGC guidelines and Supreme Court orders, exams are to be conducted only for terminal semester i.e 6th Sem. of 2017 batch & 2nd year of Pharmacy under annual system. There are students of 6th Sem. of 2017 batch / 2nd year of Pharmacy who appeared for the first time in exams held in Oct, 2020 and could not clear the regular subjects of 6th Sem. / 2nd year of Pharmacy due to reasons like technological disruptions during online exam, students failing to fill PCA or Register themselves within the stipulated time for online exams, etc.
2014, 2015 & 2016 batch students having re-appears in 3rd Sem. had been provided with 10, 8 & 6 opportunities respectively,  4th Sem. reappears with 9, 7 & 5 opportunities respectively, 5th Sem. reappears with 8, 6 & 4 opportunities respectively and so on … and yet these students could not pass their Reappear subjects. Still Board accommodated these old batches in Oct 2020 exam and allowed them to appear in the subjects applicable for 2017 batch). These batches cannot claim this act of generosity of Board as their right for giving them another opportunity. Therefore, the opportunity of Special Online Exam has been provided by the Board only in the subjects of 6th Sem. of 2017 batch / 2nd Yr of Pharmacy. Moreover, Board cannot conduct exams for all subjects of all Semesters again in such a short time.
However, students have objected telephonically & through emails / messages for allowing the 2014, 2015 & 2016 batch students to appear in subjects of 6th Sem. whereas re-exams are not being conducted in the subjects of 1st – 5th semesters for similar students of same 2014, 2015 & 2016 batches.
Accordingly, in view of UGC Guidelines and numerous opportunities already provided to these old batches, PCA forms of 2014, 2015 & 2016 batch students should not be accepted and uploaded on the HSBTE portal. Similarly in case of Pharmacy and part time diploma. If any such case has been uploaded, it may be deleted and examination fee may be returned. PCA of only 2017 batch of 3 year diploma, 2018 batch of pharmacy and 2016 batch of part-time diploma must be uploaded. Last date for filing and uploading PCA for the special online exam is also hereby extended upto 22nd Oct, 2020.
